Administrative processes
This principle describes the requirement for running administrative and maintenance tasks, such as database migrations as a separate process within the same production environment as the application. The code for the administrative task should be shipped with and be run against the release for the same given codebase and configuration. This makes sense because the administrative tool should do what the application does/works with for the given release. However, depending on the Cloud platform, one should evaluate and consider the best course for performing the administrative tasks.
