Domains have some differences in terminology from the conventional domain. Other than that, domains are unique and must be resolved by a DNS server; in Cloud Foundry, a domain can be a shared domain or it can be a private domain. A shared domain is one where a domain is available to all users across all Orgs. A private domain, on the other hand, is custom and privately registered.
