Logs
As part of the original 12 principles, Logs dictate that logging output should be treated as event streams and should be simply emitted out via standard out and standard error. The benefits of this principle are three-fold. The first is that applications are simplified and no longer need to implement the intricacies of storing logs. Instead, all management and processing of logs are handled externally by the Cloud platform and external tools. This simplifies the application's code and potentially reduces the risk of bugs, and simply enables the developer to focus on the application to deliver the intended business value.
