resulting in PEG hydrogel microstructures imprinted with extracellular protein pat-

terns. This will provide a unique environment for the cells to migrate and proliferate

under the inuence of the hydrogel microstructures with the protein patterns. Such

sub-cellular micropatterns can be effectively utilized to study cell–biomaterial inter-

actions and for their applications in tissue engineering.
