In summary, the area of non-lithographic techniques for nanostructuring of thin lms
and surfaces has been reviewed. It has been shown that these techniques provide cost-
effective solutions for the realization of nanostructures like nanowires, nanodots, nano-
cones, nanopores, nanopillars. Apart from nanostructure development, non-lithographic
techniques are unique, since they cause mass re-crystallization of the materials.
