It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using this book
Key Management Development Models describes more than 70 models and frameworks which will help you to develop yourself to become a more effective manager and to develop others to perform at a higher level. While you could read it from beginning to end as a fairly comprehensive collection of tools to enhance your management ability, it may be better to:
- skim through the book the first time, picking out models and ideas that jump out at you, either because they look interesting or because they are directly applicable to your current situation, then
- use the contents pages to focus on a particular area of need, skim through the models in the appropriate section, then read in more detail the one that best fits your situation.
