Conflict management
Conflict is an inevitable feature of working life. Sometimes you may find yourself in conflict with others and sometimes you may, as a manager, have to mediate when others are in conflict. At one level, conflict can be healthy. It brings issues to the surface and, if properly resolved, clears the air. But differences that simmer under the surface and occasionally flare can be hugely damaging to productive work, so the better equipped you are to deal with conflict (ideally before it escalates), the more credibility you will have as a manager.
