Project close-out
As projects near the end of their existence, the PM should take responsi-
bility to assist in reassignment of the staff. Each staff member within the
organization will need to be reassigned to a new project once the current
one ends. The reality of this process is that new projects may need team
members before the current project has ended. This can result in many
resource issues for the current project. Sometimes, it is possible to have
project team members maintain some percentage of work with the cur-
rent project while also beginning to take on their new role on their new
