I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2.1. Workload Estimation
Workload estimation begins when a new application is being designed, or when an existing application is to be ported to a new system platform. Examples of data required for workload estimation are:
Number of users
Types of transactions
Mix of transactions
Transaction rate
Amount of data
Throughput (amount of work to be accomplished in a given time interval)
Response time (acceptable average amount of time per transaction)
When a similar workload does not exist, workload estimation involves guessing the values for the data listed above. Otherwise, the data should be estimated based on real values from a working application and system.
