It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
9.4. VxVM Volume Manager
The VxVM Volume Manager from Veritas is an alternative disk management system that is provided on HP-UX 11i systems. It provides almost all of the features of LVM, plus additional features that mainly help with availability and manageability. For instance, the VxVM product provides a graphical user interface for creating logical volumes on the system. It also allows both striping and mirroring to be done simultaneously (RAID 10 support) and provides RAID 5 support. VxVM can also provide up to thirty-two mirrored copies of data.
