I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
12.3. Versions on HP-UX
Java comes installed with most recent versions of HP-UX. All 11.00 and later versions of HP-UX will have the J2SE installed by default. The JVM installation should be located in the /opt directory under one of the following directories:
java–for versions 1.1.x (Java 1)
java1.2–for versions 1.2.x (Java 2)
java1.3–for versions 1.3.x (Java 2)
java1.4–for versions 1.4.x (Java 2)
To determine the version of Java in use on a given system, type java -version. The various versions of Java 2 are supported only on HP-UX 11.00 and later. Java versions 1.1 through 1.2 are supported only on PA-RISC systems. Java 1.3, 1.4, and subsequent versions are also supported on Itanium systems.
