9.1. Disk Hardware Descriptions
The disk subsystem of an HP-UX computer system is composed of interface cards connecting disk and tape peripherals to the system. The choice of I/O interfaces, number of interfaces, peripheral types, number of devices, and the distribution of devices and interfaces can have a very large impact on the overall system. The next sections describe various peripherals and their interface to the system.
