I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Kaizen events can be scaled according to purpose, but the scale (or scope)
we want to emphasize corresponds to what we call “mini-Kaizen” or Rapid
Improvement Events.

There is a philosophy that is associated with Kaizen, and it includes
enablers that we will discuss further in Chapter 8, but which include clear
goal direction from management and employee empowerment. Kaizen
teams are empowered to identify and eliminate waste, and their work is
managed to that end. Once the team makes a decision on an improvement,
they also are empowered to implement it. Kaizen events, then, put the phi-
losophy of Kaizen into action.
