Reducing rows
As I mentioned previously, section access can be used to reduce either rows or fields. If we want to reduce rows—this means to hide rows of data from certain users—whenever a user accesses the application, we first need to find the field we want to reduce.
In the example in the section Data Reduction, I said John can access data from Germany and the UK and Peter can only access data from Germany. This means the field we want to reduce is Country. We know this because we want to hide data related to the country to certain users and thus the Country field becomes our field to be reduced and used in section access.
In a real scenario, we would first load our data and then apply section access.
