NullInterprete

This variable is used when we want to define a non-null value coming from a text file, Excel, or an Inline table as null.

The following example shows how to use this variable:

set NullInterprete='NULL';Table:LOAD   DataField  ,'NULL' AS NullFieldInline[DataFieldValue 1Value 2Value 3];

In the preceding example, any NULL coming from the source will be treated as a null value. This variable is also very useful for replacing blank field values with null. Remember that blank is still a value and thus consumes RAM and storage. To replace blank spaces with null values, set the variables as follows:

SET NullInterprete='';
