When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Data analytics in the cloud
Cloud is a term which has, in the past year, become very strongly associated with software innovation, low cost, and flexibility. On the cloud, you do not run software locally on your machine, but it's hosted on a server on the web. This allows you to connect to the same instance from different devices, be it mobile, iPads, or from your laptop. At the same time, as it's accessible from practically anywhere where the internet is available, cloud solutions are encouraging the collaboration and sharing of information, in this case, data analytics.
The cloud is the future for various reasons, but at the same time, it introduces associated risks: if the data is not hosted on my premises or devices, where is it hosted? ...
