Coding with JavaScript
JavaScript code is usually declared in an HTML page within <script></script> tags. It's also possible, although a bit messy, to embed code directly within elements on the web page. Best practice is to outsource the JavaScript code to a separate file and to load it dynamically, but how to best modularize JS code will be discussed later in this chapter around RequireJS.
The positive thing about JS is that it can entirely interact with the HTML page by manipulating the objects, or DOM, visible on the web page. It can also receive input from forms and with versatile libraries and APIs available, discussed later in this chapter, it can turn into a very powerful and performant language to achieve almost anything on the web. ...
