The initialProperties property specifies the properties the object should have when created. These are required for the extension to load with the correct settings before the user has the chance to modify them. In particular, qInitialDataFetch needs to be defined, which tells the extension how much data to load initially, once dimensions and metrics are set by the user.
The following is an example of setting initial properties:
define( [ ], function ( ) { return { paint: function ($element, layout) { $element.html( "Hello world! I learned how to write this using Mastering QS"); }, initialProperties : { qHyperCubeDef : { qDimensions : [], qMeasures : [], qInitialDataFetch : [{ qWidth : 2, qHeight : 50}] }
