When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What should be done upstream from Qlik Sense?
Now is a good time to discuss a perfect-world situation, and one you should aim for, even if you hardly ever reach it! Qlik Sense has an extremely powerful scripting engine that is capable of performing some extremely involved and challenging data transformations. However, just because you can extract, transform, and load data in Qlik Sense doesn’t mean that you should. Qlik Sense is a visualization and data analysis tool – data preparation should be handled upstream, where it can be managed by a BAU (Business as Usual) team with more mainstream skills, and from where it can be available to multiple tools, not just Qlik Sense.
