Modifiers are used to add or change a selection. Modifiers consist of one or more fields followed by the values we want to assign to those fields in the following format:
< [Field] = {value 1, value 2} >
Here, Field is the name of a valid field in the data model and value is the value in the field that we want to add to the selection. If the value is a string, then it should go between " ".
The modifiers change the selection of the set identifier:
max({< Role = {"Manager"} >} Salary)
The preceding example shows the maximum salary of the current selection but with Manager as the employee role. Note that when the identifier is omitted, the current selection ($) is the default.
