When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
FreeBSD Compared to Other Operating Systems
Here, we will compare the Windows 2000 and Linux operating systems to FreeBSD.
Windows 2000
Microsoft has done a good job of listening to what its customers want in an operating system. Windows 2000 doesn't allow you to “get under the hood” much. It is designed to work reasonably well for a wide variety of tasks without the user having to learn about the internals of the system. It does this at the expense of some performance and efficiency. Windows 2000 has relatively steep hardware requirements, but many users are willing to accept this in exchange for ease of use.
