It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a rough guide to new users of FreeBSD: a trail map showing how to get the system up and stable as quickly as possible. It is especially targeted at administrators coming from other operating systems who will bring certain preconceptions about how FreeBSD might act; this chapter will serve as a guide to shifting those preconceptions to the point where common mistakes born out of inexperience or unfamiliarity can be avoided.
