When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Other Samba Components
The Samba package includes a number of additional tools. These are each described in man samba; we will also cover each one briefly here. Each one has its own man page for further details.
smbclient— A simple FTP-like client that allows you to connect to remote SMB shares and print to remote Windows printers.
testparm— A configuration file syntax checker that tests your smb.conf for correctness; similar to apachectl configtest for Apache.
testprns— Tests whether the printers specified in /etc/printcap will work properly with Samba.
smbstatus— Displays current connections to the Samba server. SWAT, as we saw earlier, has a page that shows the formatted output of this command in a Web browser.
nmblookup— Allows you to make NetBIOS ...
