When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring Basic E-mail Services with Sendmail
FreeBSD comes with Sendmail installed and already configured to serve basic e-mail needs right out of the box. All you have to do to enable Sendmail (so that it starts at boot time) is add the following line to /etc/rc.conf:
Sendmail_enable="YES"
Once the system is up and running, you can send a message to anyone on the Internet, and they can send one to you—provided that you have a few things set up properly. For the most part, these aren't configuration items for Sendmail itself, but for the system in general—Sendmail relies on the system to have a few guarantees in place before it will operate without a hitch.
