I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Things to Consider Before Making the World
The risks of building your system from scratch are not insignificant. On a high-profile production server, you may deem them too great for making the world to be a viable upgrade method. It's a simple matter to wait for each full release on CD, and you may prefer to go that route instead. Let's look at the risks involved, though, so the decision not to build a system from interim sources can be an informed one.
First of all, and most obviously, a make world will involve at least one reboot. If you're concerned about your uptime, or if your system absolutely must be online at all times (as with a high-profile network server), you would probably be best served by upgrading to each successive RELEASE version ...
