In This Chapter
By default, FreeBSD installs XFree86 3.3.6. This version is rather old, and is rapidly becoming obsolete. Although we did cover basic configuration of this version in chapter 2, “Installing FreeBSD,”, we are not going to give it any detailed coverage here. Instead, we will cover upgrading XFree86 to version 4.1, and then configuring this version.
