The only specific request the client gave designer Mitchell Mauk was to create some-
thing “fun,” to which Mauk added “but not trendy” so that the logo would not
become outdated quickly. With these parameters, Mauk decided on an approach that
would mix and match past design styles in order to create a fresh-looking hybrid.
