Sculpting

Sculpting is one of the most creative ways of modeling. If you like organic modeling, this is something you really need to check out because it’s very useful for sculpting characters.

In the 3D View, just switch to Sculpt Mode and use it as you would the texture brushes. However, this mode will retouch geometry; it’s usually mixed with the Multiresolution modifier, which is similar to an advanced Subdivision Surface modifier because it not only subdivides an object, but also stores the different details of each subdivision level.

By combining the Multiresolution modifier with Sculpt Mode, you can create extremely detailed organic models in a very artistic way, almost as if you were sculpting with clay, which can be really entertaining. ...
