Group Policy also uses the server-client architecture when applying the group policies. Active Directory domain controllers hold the group policies and publish them to client devices. In order to apply Group Policy to a client, it doesn't have to have any system or profile modification. If the target meets the Group Policy criteria, it will process the Group Policy settings. It simplifies the Group Policy processing process as there are less dependencies.
