OMS services

OMS has four core services:

• Log analytics: In the infrastructure, we have different server roles and applications. Each of these components generate log files and events which we can use to monitor or audit their status. But all this comes from different sources in different forms, and it is not practical to go through each and every one of them. This large amount of data distracts engineers from real problems. OMS allows us to collect data from various sources and analyze it from a centralized system. In this section, we are only going to focus on this service.
• Automation: This automates manual management tasks using Azure automation. It works similarly to System Center Orchestrator.
