Active Directory snapshots

When we are working with virtual servers, we understand how snapshots are important in a faster recovery process. Snapshots allow to revert the system to a previous working state with minimum impact.

It is not recommended to take snapshots and restore domain controllers using this method, as it will create integrity issues with other existing domain controllers and their data.

With Windows Server 2008, Microsoft introduced Active Directory snapshot feature. Here, it will take snapshot of Active Directory in a given time.
