Deciding certificate templates
Not every user, computer, or service needs the same type of certificates. If you purchase certificates from public CA, they have lots of different types of certificates with different prices. Each of these certificates have different options and value added services. Certificate templates allow to create custom templates that can match the different certificate requirements. As an example, user certificates may need to renew in every year due to staff changes while computer certificates renew in every 5 years' time. As part of the planning process, we need to evaluate certificate requirements so we can create new templates to match it.
