ATA deployments
ATA deployments support three topologies:
- ATA gateway only: In this mode, Active Directory traffic is only captured by ATA gateway. All the domain controllers pass the traffic to the gateway via port mirroring.
- ATA Lightweight Gateway only: In this mode, it only uses Lightweight Gateways. This component needs to be installed on each and every domain controller.
- ATA gateway and ATA Lightweight Gateway mixed mode: In this mode, both gateway types will be used. But one domain controller should only use one gateway component.
