The following checklist covers all the steps you need to follow when deploying a new child domain:
- Prepare physical/virtual resources for the domain controller
- Install Windows Server 2016 Standard/Datacenter
- Patch servers with the latest Windows updates
- Assign dedicated IP address to the domain controller
- Find information about AD forest and Schema Admin/Enterprise Admin login details for the existing forest root domain
- Log into the server as a local administrator
