Microsoft provides two distinct editions of Exchange Server 2007. Each is basically identical in function but includes a slightly different set of features. The two editions are Exchange Server 2007 Standard Edition and Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Edition.
The standard edition is designed to meet the basic messaging needs of small- to mediumsized companies. The standard edition may also be useful in branch offices of larger installations or for particular server roles. Exchange Server 2007 Standard Edition has the following limitations:
