Associating Servers with Dial Plans

Even if you create a number of Unified Messaging objects, such as a dial plan, mailbox policy, and IP gateway, in order for Unified Messaging services to operate, you need to enable the services on each of the servers on which you installed the Unified Messaging server role. Follow these steps to accomplish this goal:

  1. Open the Exchange Management Console.

  2. Choose Server Configuration and then choose Unified Messaging.

  3. Select the server on which you have installed the Unified Messaging server role.

  4. In the Actions pane, click the Properties option. The Properties page for the server opens.

  5. Click the UM Settings tab, as shown in Figure 14-15.
