Single Copy Clusters

Single copy clusters (SCC) are a carry-over from the cluster solutions available under Exchange Server 2003 with some enhancements in 2007. Single copy clusters, as shown in Figure 9-19, have multiple nodes within the cluster that use only one copy of the Mailbox database located on a shared set of storage. Exchange Server 2007 doesn’t support active/active clusters (as in previous Exchange versions), only the active/passive configuration.
