Some features from previous versions of Exchange have been eliminated from Exchange Server 2007, including:

  • Novell GroupWise connector

  • Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP)

  • Microsoft Mobile Information Server

  • Instant Messaging service

  • Exchange Chat Service

  • Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server

  • Key Management Service

  • cc:Mail connector

  • MS Mail connector

There are a number of ways you can plan around these eliminated services:

  • Acquire the new product that includes the service. Since the release of Exchange 2000 Server and Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft has made a number of changes to its product line.
