Exchange Server 2007 Coexistence Deployment Considerations

As you can probably tell, Exchange Server 2007 is all new. With this newest release, Microsoft has jettisoned some of the product’s legacy support in order to streamline and simplify an increasingly complex product. As such, there are a few things that you need to consider before you deploy Exchange Server 2007 into an existing legacy Exchange organization. Note that everything here applies to both Exchange 2000 Server and Exchange Server 2003. Where this information indicates Exchange Server 2003, the information also covers Exchange 2000 Server. Exchange Server 2007 also supports coexistence with and transition from Exchange 2000 Server and Exchange Server 2003 organizations.
