Cluster Continuous Replication

Cluster continuous replication (CCR) uses the same concept as LCR with seeding of the database and transaction log shipping; however, instead of simply having two locations for the databases (the active and passive), two separate nodes exist that run in an active/passive configuration so that recovery from any failure on the active node is immediate through the passive node.

Once again, you see the asynchronous log shipping and replaying that you saw in LCR combined now with the automatic failover features found in a cluster.
