Glossary

Actions pane: The area of the Exchange Management Console that displays actions you can perform based on the object selected in the Console Tree, Results pane, or Work pane.
Active Clustered Mailbox role: A highly available mailbox providing a hot standby of your mailbox database.
Active Directory: The Microsoft Windows directory service, which consists of a forest, one or more domains, organizational units, containers, and objects. Various classes of objects can be represented within Active Directory, including users, groups, computers, printers, and applications.
