Businessowners Policy

The businessowners policy (BOP) provides property and liability insurance for small businesses. The property coverages of the ISO businessowners policy were discussed in the previous chapter. The liability coverage is written on an occurrence basis, and, with certain exceptions, it is similar to the commercial general liability coverage (CGL) form discussed earlier.17 The following discussion is based on the ISO form. A revised version of the ISO BOP was released in 2013.
