Find out if there are cliques within the team.
Over time, work to break these up, but do so slowly and subtly.
Try where possible to ensure that the work is allocated in such a way
that the same people don’t end up working together all the time.
This encourages the wider development of relationships within the
team and can help to improve overall cooperation over time.
In particular, when different projects arise, this provides you with an
opportunity to put this principle into action and you should pay par-
ticular attention to how you build project teams to ensure the mix is
right.
