When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using the Notification Center
iOS 5 includes a great new, somewhat hidden, Notification Center. It’s available no matter which Home screen you’re on or which app you’re in. In the past, if an app gave you a Push notification, a little banner would appear onscreen that you had to acknowledge. Sometimes these notifications would interrupt the app you were in and, worse, if you got a lot of them while you were away from your iPhone, you’d have to go through and acknowledge each one before being able to do anything else. That has all changed. If you get a notification while you’re doing something on your iPhone, it will appear briefly at the top ...
