Make sure that your battery is charged—try either connecting it to your computer’s USB port or to the AC adapter with the USB cable that came with your iPhone. Its screen should come on when it’s connected to a power source and indicate that the battery is charging. If not, then you may want to try rebooting it. Press-and-hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button located on the top of the iPhone until you see the Apple logo. You can let go then and should be back in business.
