Not all apps are created equally, so you may have an app crash now and then. The good thing is that the iPhone operating system (iOS) is based upon Mac OS X, which is really reliable. So even if an app crashes, it usually won’t affect the rest of the iPhone and will simply return you to the Home screen. However, if the app just appears frozen and not responding, then you can manually force quit it by pressing-and-holding the Sleep/Wake button at the top of the iPhone until the red button with “Slide to Power Off” appears.
