If you have more than one email account, then chances are you have multiple SMTP (outgoing) email servers to choose from. Depending on the ISP (Internet service provider), you may be able to set up a backup or secondary email server to send mail from when you’re on the go. For example, when I’m at home or on the road, I typically send mail from my Comcast email server. However, if their server is down, then I want to be able to send mail through either my yahoo.com server or my iCloud server. You can set up your backup email server in your iPhone’s email settings.
