If you don’t want to take the time to make a bunch of different playlists (actually, making your own custom playlists is half the fun of using iTunes), you can have iTunes do most of the work for you. iTunes already comes with some of these “Smart Playlists.” For example, you’ll see playlists already created with the 25 songs you’ve played the most, the songs you’ve played most recently, and if you rate your songs in iTunes (using the 1- to 5-star rating system), you’ll see only your top-rated songs in a Smart Playlist.
