On the back of your iPhone 4 or 4S, there’s a small LED flash, and you can turn it on by tapping the Flash button (the button with the lightning bolt icon) in the top-left corner of the camera screen. This brings up a list of three flash options: (1) Off turns the flash off (I know, I didn’t really need to explain that one); (2) Auto automatically turns the flash on if the camera senses it needs more light to make a decent picture; and (3) On turns the flash on whether you need it not.
