It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Verifying vSphere components
As explained in Chapter 1, Getting Started with VMware NSX for vSphere the host preparation or host upgrade involves vSphere components, such as vCenter server, EAM, and vSphere Update Manager. It is important to verify that EAM is up and that the Update Manager is running:
